Oh What Do You Do On MLK Day?

We went to get shots. Every Monday and Tuesday morning I load the kids in the Suburban between 7:45-8:00 to drive Michael to the doctor for his allergy shots. He gets 4 shots, 2 each in each arm. After he gets them we have to wait 20 minutes to make sure he doesn't have a reaction. Today Mike got to come with us because he didn't have work.

Michael telling me a story

Despite his coloring he really is Italian, look at him talking with his hands.

"Did you get all that mommy?"

Sweet Annie still in her jammers

Waiting for 20 minutes gets a little boring sometimes so the kids are making friends with the kids in the neighboring office. The was the cutest little girl on the other side of the door.

After shots we headed to The San Diego Zoo. It is about an hour drive for us. I was hoping the kids would nap on the way but they were too excited  to see the animals. The whole way they talked about the animals they wanted to see.

Stopping for lunch.
Annie played a trick on Daddy and squeezed the water bottle when he was opening it. They both got wet. Luckily I brought a change of clothes for Annie, I didn't think to bring one for Daddy.

Thank goodness I  carry around disinfecting wipes. They have to crawl and touch everything,

The LION. The kids were impressed.

They kept telling me that it was eating. It was too. It has a big bone in its paws.

The LLAMAS. We couldn't get the kids to leave. They loved this. One of the llamas walked right up to the window and scared Anthony a little.

Watching the elephant eat.

Michael was getting tired. Actually they were all getting tired by this time.

The elephant. They showered or bathed him and the kids thought this was really neat.

Silly Jake

The kids had so much fun and were so good today. They love animals and were so excited to see real ones. I think we will be at the zoo a little more from now on.
