When Jaileigh turned 8 she was able to participate in activity day activities. It has been difficult to make time between all the different activities we do but we really try to make it. She always has a great time and it's so good for her to hang out with other girls her age with the same values.

Welcome PTA Dance
The PTA held a welcome back to school dance. I did not want to take them so I tried to not talk about it. The kids friends talk and they all planned on going together anyway. Mike was such a trooper and said that he would take them after he finished with baseball practice. He worked all day, ran a baseball practice and then took the kids (that wanted to go). I took the other kids home and we watched movies and ate junk food.
Jaileigh and Annie
The theme was star wars or something. That is why Jaileigh is dressed up.

We found this rock outside of the school. People around here are painting rocks and hiding them around the area to help make people smile.

Wednesday Beach Trips
The best time to go to the beach is after school has started again. Wednesdays the kids have minimum day so I try to sneak to the beach as often as our crazy schedule allows. It's my time to rejuvenate, become calm and collected and find my inner peace; plus it wears my kids out!
We went to Oceanside Pier today. I am also collecting rocks for around our pool and everyone knows that Oceanside is covered in amazing rocks!

They can't go anywhere without a bat and ball.
My little sunshine and sand boy. This kid LOVES the water and sand.
Michael watched a show during shark week and is now afraid of the ocean. He won't admit it but he went from me having to drag him out of the ocean to pacing the beach until we leave.
At least he has a ball in his hands to make him smile.
Anthony my little Rico Suave. He is so beautiful!
Annie Bananie is such a spitfire, ham and fireball all rolled into one.
Jaileigh June is the sweetest thing until we get home. Then she becomes a little devil child. I have really enjoyed her this last year. She is turning into such a sweet, loving and caring little girl. I was worried for awhile that we would be at odds forever.
Playing under the pier.

Trying to wash the sand off of her.
These were on the pier covering the wood posts.
Its so fin to be able to do this. I love having the beach so close. After the beach I took the kids out to dinner. 4 of the kids I introduced to Robertos (Albertos) Mexican food. Michael wasn't interested so we drove across the street to Angelos Burgers. It was amazing! It had every type of food and it was all made fresh to order. Next time we will all eat there!

Lunch Date
I took a few of the kids with me to shop one Saturday. We went to Savers first. The kids LOVE thrift shopping. They find all kids of strange things and are entertained for longer than I am. I always have to drag them out after filtering through all the junk they collect. We found this HUGE bag of tennis balls. I sent a picture to Mike and he said to get them so he could use them for baseball. They played hours with them in the street. Mike would hit the balls with a tennis racket as high as they could and the kids would catch them.
We went next door to the Taco Place and had tacos. Jakob sat at the counter and made friends with the cook.
Anthony and Annie sat with me for most of the lunch.
Then they decided that Jake was having all the fun.

It was fun hanging out with these goofballs!
