Camp Puke and Poop

Shortly after returning from our vacation we were hit by a stomach bug. It was sure a nasty one. Everyone got it but me and Anthony. I don't know how he lucked out but I sure am thankful that he did.

Mike and I set up camp in our living room. We all slept there for 4 or 5 days. See if you can find all 5 babies.

Naptime.

Washing The Car

After our long journey and vacation our suburban needed a bath very badly!

Poor Baby Jaileigh

Here are pictures of Jaileigh when she was covered in hives. You can see how swollen her poor face was. Her whole body was actually swollen. She couldn't even wear shoes her feet were so swollen.

These pictures are pretty poor quality, they were taken with my phone. My camera has been on the blink and I just figured out that it was the camera card and not the camera. Hooray!

Hives on her leg. On the 2nd day I took her in to Michael's allergy doctor. He gave her a steroid shot and put her on Zyrtec twice a day and Benadryl 4 times a day. If I kept up that regime she seemed to do better. The redness stayed in control. I also gave her cool oatmeal baths.

By day 4 and 5 she was feeling better but still had hives all over. It took a good week for them to go away. We still have no idea what caused them either.

I also let her run around without clothes on and swim in the nice cool pool whenever she wanted.

Going Home

I woke up Tuesday (6/21) morning sicker than a dog. I think that I ate something with onions in it the day before. I am allergic to onions so this is was no bueno. On top of that, Jaileigh woke up covered in hives. My mom got Jaileigh in to see her doctor. We were planning on going home today at nap time. Our friend Karen was meeting us in Vegas to help me drive back to California. The day was not starting off well. On top of all the sicknesses, I still hadn't packed. Anyway, I ran Jaileigh in to the doctor. She was having an allergic reaction to something. He told me to give her benadryl and to take her in to her pediatrician if she wasn't getting better in 2 days. I was feeling better so I decided to continue on with our journey home.

I packed with the help of Rori and my mom, threw everyone in their carseats and my mom drove us to Vegas. We went to my friends house and hung out all afternoon. She let the kids swim, entertained them, and fed us before sending us on our way. Thank you so much to the Kristen and Glenna! You saved our day. Thanks to my mom for getting us to Vegas and my dad for coming and picking her up. It takes a village to get us taken care of.

I did a poor job of taking pictures. I didn't get any of Kristen or Glenna or the swimming. I did get the otter pop pictures though.

We made it home Tuesday night by 10. Karen slept over and the next day her brother picked her up. Thank you so much Karen!

The City Pool

When I turned 15 I became a lifeguard at the local City Pool. I went on to be a Swim Instructor. I worked in pools for the next 13 years. When we moved to California I finally gave it up. While we were in St. George I talked my sister into going to the old City Pool with me. It was fun to see that it was just the same.

Wedding Luncheon

We made it to the luncheon just a little bit late. I think the lunch was pretty much over by the time we got there. All the good food, utensils, and tables were gone. The good part was everyone that we wanted to see was there. My Grandpa Tom, my dads dad, was there. This was his first time meeting his great grand children. He had a walking stick that the boys loved, of course.

Grandpa told me the first thing the boys did was steal his stick and stomp it on his foot. Poor Gramps.

Those faces look so full of mischief!

The kids were pretty tired and ready to go. We ended up leaving before the party was over. Once my kids started having a water fight we decided it was time to go.
