Christmas Traditions and Activities

Now that our kids are old enough to understand {a little} about Christmas we are trying to start some family traditions. This list is compiled of old traditions and some new that we hope to start.

Things we have done or are going to do this Christmas season.

Attend the Black Friday sales
Decorate the tree
Decorate the house
Set up the Nativity scenes and talk about them
Make cookies
Look at the neighborhood Chrismas lights (several times)
Hang the lights outside on the house
Fingerpaint Christmas trees and other fun toddler activities
Watch Frosty and Rudolph, Polar Express, Mickeys Christmas
Make Christmas ornaments for the tree
Read about the story of Jesus birth
Go to Church Christmas Party
Visit Santa (3X so far)
Wear new Christmas jammies
Make a cake for Jesus birthday
Visit the temple to see the lights and the nativity
Visit Victoria Gardens Christmas Tree and Santa
Visit Creche display at church
Have Kookaburra visit (our Christmas Elf)
Red and Green Meals
Pick out a Christmas Tree
Write A Letter to Santa
Wrap Presents
Go Christmas Shopping
Make yummy Nutella hot chocolate
Read Christmas books
Listen to Christmas music everyday!
Make popcorn balls
Deliver Christmas treats to the neighbors
Go sledding or tubing
Send Christmas cards to family and friends
North Pole Breakfast
Make a stocking for the missionaries
Open one Christmas gift on Christmas Eve
