Homemade Granola

Caroline came to visit one day. The kids clearly took advantage of her and made her hang out in their pirate ship. Jaileigh, Caroline, Jake and Michael

A few times she and ALL the kids were in the pirate ship with the step ladder and a dump truck.

Michael trying to "fix" the dump truck.

Karen came to visit too. She is on Thanksgiving break so had a few days off of work. She got to read stories for hours. These two girls are so loved at our house! My kids absolutely go crazy when they come over.
Anthony, Karen and Jaileigh

Every once in awhile I get a wild hair and make some homemade granola. From the looks of things I might have to make it a little more often.

Jaileigh, Annie, Michael, Anthony and Jakob

Anthony is wearing Jaileigh's dress. The boys decided it's cool to wear dresses. I'm allowing it in the house for awhile but when we go out they have to wear their clothes. Silly boys! Despite all the various states of dress and undress in all of my pictures, I really do dress my children in nice, clean, matching clothes. Something happens during the day and they all end up looking like homeless kids.

Daddy loves it too!

Sweeeeeeet Caroline

Caroline came to visit again and came bearing gifts.
As if she isn't instantly attacked anyway! (Last of the cell pictures!)

Michael brought his present over to the couch in case someone wanted to steal it. Smart kid!

Caroline, Oh how we love you!!!!!

10 and 32 months

Anndalyn Grace is now 10 months old.
Anthony Joseph, Michael Huston, Jaileigh Addison, and Jakob Thomas are now 32 months.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful babies. We celebrated with ice ceam~!

My kids don't say their "R"s yet so ice cream is ice ceam. During bath time last night Mike made homemade ice cream for the quads. A little bit too late we figured that we should have done ice cream then baths.

Jakob getting ready to drink his. Much faster that way.

Michael showing his tongue and that his ice ceam is all gone.

Anthony

Anthony won the award for messiest eater.

Jaileigh trying with two spoons.

Jake was a close candidate in the messy contest.

Caroline came over to play today. She is going to Africa for a couple of weeks to do service. We are going to miss her!

Our neighbors have 4 yorkie dogs and they kids love to watch them. They always talk Caroline into lifting them over the fence. She is way too nice! I am sure if the neighbors knew they would think we were crazy.

Ree-Ree

I can't tell you how many times I hear that a day. My kids LOVE to read (ree-ree). Forget the candy, the toys, the park- they would much rather sit on a lap and ree-ree.

First there was two. . . .

then three. . . .

then there were four. Mikey was being a stinker, his book is on the floor.
(Anthony, Michael, Jake, Jaileigh)

Carolyn reading to the foursome.

There is a little tiny book that they are all looking at. The adore Carolyn. Anthony cried today when he woke up from his nap and she was gone.

More Holiday Playing

Our friends the Dunkleys, Caroline, and Bill and Gina all came over for early Christmas's. We had an exciting week spending time with all of them. We are so grateful for our friends and all they do for us. What great examples they are to all of us.

For Christmas the Dunkleys will be in Cancun, lucky dogs, so we played with them before they went. They of course spoiled the children and Mike and I. The 4 girls cleaned my house, wrapped my presents, and entertained my children while I hung out with them and socialized.

Bill and Gina came and I didn't get any pictures of them. I only got these two pictures.
Jake reading his new Elmo book. His black eye is slowing going away. It still looks yucky.

Anthony sporting his new Mickey backpack.

Somehow I didn't get any pictures of Caroline : (

Merry Christmas to you all!

Caroline

Caroline traveled out to see us the day before Thanksgiving. She spend most of the day with us and then had to drive home in Thanksgiving traffic. When she left there were many tears shed. She had to run out the door so the kids wouldn't follow her.

At our old house we lived next door to Dana, our friend with 4 dogs. Caroline would hold the quads so they could see the dogs over the fence. They remembered and wanted her to show them the dogs. Sadly we don't have any dogs over the fence.

Annie practicing her push-ups. While the quads were outside playing with Caroline, Annie and I played inside.

Getting ready to crawl

Caroline and the quads ran around and around this planter.

Helping the kiddos play dress up. This involves dressing and undressing 4 toddlers as fast as you can.

Thanks for coming and playing Caroline. Thanks for being our friend.

Leapin' Lizards!

My sweet little children love to catch bugs. While out scavenging for bugs one morning my inquisitive little quads found and caught a lizard. The actual capturer was Jakey. He is my little dare devil child. I am sure he is going to be the cause of many mini heart attacks for me. He has always reminded of my brother for some reason and this is something my brother did all the time. He would spend hours playing with lizards when he was young.
When Jake caught the lizard he was so gentle with it. He pulled and brushed off all the grass that was on it and placed it in his hand. It was so cute to watch him. I could tell he was sooooo excited but he was able to control his excitement so he didn't hurt the lizard.

Jake and his new friend. He is picking the grass off.

Checking him out to make sure he doesn't have anymore grass.

Jake was very nice and let all of his siblings hold his friend.

Michael's turn

Even Jaileigh wanted to hold it, after she played girl and squealed first.

Snack time in the pool.

Double duty and look at the excitement on her face!
