Semester Awards

The Semester awards were held on Wednesday February 7. Three of the kids received awards. Annie and Jakob received SOAR awards, basically being outstanding citizens in the school. The teacher picks one student a month for this award. Michael received an award for good grades and was on the Principals List. This had to be one of the best and one of the hardest days for a parent. I was so excited for the winners but so heart broken for the two that were left out. They both were so sad, especially Jaileigh. She was upset because Annie won in Reflections as well and Jaileigh didn't. It was a rough day. I was so proud of my winners though!

Mr Williams, Anthony's teacher will be retiring this year. I am so sad. He is such a great teacher and I was hoping that Annie would get him next year.

Michael's teacher, Mr Friedrichs, just loves Michael. He nicknamed him Zorilla and calls him that all the time. He said he's never met a more competitive kid and that he looks forward to the day when he can watch Michael play professional baseball.

Mrs Hanke

Anthony cheered so loud for Annie when her name was called. It was so cute. He was at the very back of the room, yelled and cheered and stood up and waved.
