On Saturday after shopping and swimming in Lake Michigan, we went down to Navy Pier to watch the fireworks. The kids were really sad they missed them on the 4th of July so this was in replacement.
We went down to the River Walk and watched the boats go out. There were some large barges packed full of people.
Eating lunch/dinner
They found a playground
We walked over to the Pier to watch the fireworks once it got dark.
The kids played a little bit of tag.
The fireworks were awesome!
A couple of memories I have. I am writing this months and months after.
1. We couldn't find parking anywhere. We finally found a spot over a mile away. Our car was too big to fit. they had a few spots reserved for extra large vehicles and we were able to park there. It did cost an extra arm and a leg.
2. There weren't any restroom! The only one was in the River Bottom Restaurant and it was a porta potty. It was a half a mile away from the Pier Fireworks and I had to run Annie back there. We waited in line for 30 minutes and then she didn't even have to poop! It went away while we were waiting.
