Sea Doo and Sand Hollow

Mike rented a sea doo for the family to play on for a couple of hours. It was a blast! I had more fun than the kids I think. We went to Sand Hollow reservoir and spent a fun afternoon there. Annie was the only one that got swimmers itch so I count us as being lucky. Of course we didn't get any pictures of us playing on it.

He was hungry and wanted to go. 

After words we went and swam in Grandma Kolleens pool. I was hoping the chlorine would kill the bacteria from the swimmers itch.

California Character Day

The kids school does a wax museum/character day each year. It was so much work to have all 4 of my fourth graders participate this year. They all picked famous people that were from California or made a difference in California. Grandma was in town so she came to watch them perform.


Anthony was Jackie Robinson, Jakob was Tiger Woods, Michael was Ronald Reagan and Jaileigh was Mary Hunter Austin (author).

They had to dress up, give a 5 minute speech in front of thier classes, do a trifold board and have a shorter speech ready for the people that came to their trifold.

That night these two had a band performance. I love having them in band! I feel like music appreciation and understanding is so important.

Webelos Adios

The best passed their last year of scouts- Webelos. Because our church is breaking contact with the Boy Scouts we will no longer be participating as a family either. Sad that they (Scouting) had to choose the world over morals and values.


The boys had a game so we the leaders let us go first so we could leave right away.

A Funeral

My Aunt Marianne passed away in April. I was able to fly in for the funeral. I got to hang out with my parents and be the only child.
