Visiting The Cemeteries

On Monday we decided to visit Grandma Dolores and Grandpa Joe. Once we visited them we went in search of more relatives. The kids loved the cemeteries. It was quite the adventure searching for graves of long lost relatives.


The first cemetery we went to was Queen of Heaven. Grandma's plaque wasn't there when we buried her. They have a penthouse view of the gold course.

This was Grandma Dolores friend, Aunty Madeline. She was also Joe's Godmother.

This is where Mike's grandparents, sister and cousins are buried.

The mausoleums were really neat looking.

The kids looking in a mausoloem to see what was inside. It's like a room with drawers. The drawers have the coffins inside. There is also a little place with a counter to kneel and pray and light candles.

We took a break and ate at Buona Beef

When we got back we found Diana Marie DeMaria's grave. She was buried with Dolores DeMaria's baby brother, Orlando Boldreghini. She is unmarked and Orlando's name is incorrect on the marker. Very strange. 

We found other DeMaria's but Mike said they aren't related.
