Rileys Farm

On Saturday Mike got to the USC football game with his buddy. His boss gave him the tickets and Mike did some bartering so that I would let him go. Hahaha! I decided to take the kids apple picking instead of staying at home being bored. We traveled up to Oak Glen and went to Riley's Farm. The kids had so much fun.

I was having a hard time getting smiles and no one wanted to look at me. There was too much going on that they were looking everywhere but at me.

A Date With My Big Girl

Jaileigh is the worst picker. She picked this nasty habit up from her daddy. Those two pick their nails until there isn't any nail left. Then they try to pick other peoples nails. Argh! It drives me batty! Especially that Jaileigh has picked it up. I have tried to threaten her, tell her princesses don't pick, bribe her but nothing has worked. . . until now. I promised to take her on a date to the nail salon where she could have her nails done.

She had to stop picking long enough for her nails to grow out. She did it! Hopefully, the habit is broken. If not we will have to keep up with the dates.

She picked out this orane/red glitter polish. I was really surprised because she is a PINK only kind of girl.

After we were done she wanted to go to Jack in the Box where she ordered a burger, 5 piece chicken, 2 tacos and fries! She ate the burger, 2 chicken pieces and the fries. Her brothers ate the rest. The rest of them all have dates planned when they meet their goals. Anthony and Michael have to stop screaming, Jake has to stop biting his nails (picked that up from daddy too), and Annie has to be nice to everyone!

Out To Dinner

Mike and I sat down one day and made a menu for the whole month. We then went shopping and bought most of the groceries to make all of the meals. Since then we haven't been out to eat. It has been so nice not to have to wonder what I am going to make for dinner. I can just look at the menu and there is my answer. The menu is flexible too, if we decide to have something else that is fine. I have really enjoyed it. One night we decided to go out just for fun. After we ate dinner we let the kids play in the town centers "living room". It has a huge fire place with chairs set up all around it.

Annie Grace and her daddy. She refers to Mike and I as HER mom and HER dad. Mike had to take her to the bathroom in Winco (grocery store). He was in line to check out and she starts screaming that she has to pee. I am sure he got the panicked deer in the headlight look in his eyes. He left his cart and ran her to the bathroom. He held her up while she pottied and then ran back to the cart. She was upset because he wouldn't let her wash her hands. (She hadn't touched anything.) So everytime I take her to the bathroom she has to tell me that "my dad won't let me wash my hands when I go to the bathroom." hahaha!
