New Years Weekend

New Years weekend we went to San Diego for a nice relaxing weekend. I packed for winter and it was HOT. We went to the San Diego Zoo and had to buy the babies short sleeve t-shirts it was so warm. While we were there we saw our friends the Fiores. They have triplets that were our roommates at LLUMC. We had a lot of fun with them and sadly I didn't get pictures. It was quite a sight though.

The babies loved the RV park we stayed at. It had a lot of running around room so they were able to go outside and play a lot. They discovered all kinds of outdoorsy things while we were there.

A Happy New Year To All

This New Year was a little more exciting than last. Last year I think we all passed out around 8 or 9 and then were up again for an 11 o'clock feeding. Last New Year was a blur because of the sheer exhaustion. This year we celebrated as much as we could. We took the babies out in the yard to play, I picked some lemons for Grandpa, and then we went to the drive in movie. Yippee! We saw Sherlock Holmes and Invictus. I actually fell asleep during Invictus. I ended up being a party pooper. When we go to the drive-in we are able to take the RV so the babies can sleep comfortably and Mike and I can be comfortable as well. We have our own kitchen and bathroom. Aaaahhhh.

The Fabulous Foursome- Playing in the backyard. It looks like we have a nice lawn growing, nope its weeds. The babies don't care though. Jakob (with my shoe), Jaileigh, Anthony, and Michael hiding behind Anthony

Anyone need or want lemons? We have tons, please come get some!
Anthony eating dirt. Yep, he really ate it.

Anthony fell asleep waiting for Mike one day. He climbed up on the couch and watched out the window for him and eventually fell asleep.
Michael got into mom and dads Christmas candy. Yummy and very messy!

It's CHRISTmas One More Time

Our December was quite exciting this year. We have a timeshare in Park City. Last year we gave it away to our good friends but this year we thought we would try to go. Our thinking was we could still do RSV lockdown, just in a different place. On December 11 at 7:00 pm we set off on our journey. Did I mention that Park City is a 10 hour drive in a car? We were taking the RV so I am sure its a 14-16 hour drive. That night we made it as far as Mesquite, NV before Mike had to pull over to sleep. The casinos there have free RV parking so we pulled into a spot and slept for a few hours. We got up pretty early and started off again and made it to my parents house before breakfast.

While we were there we found out that the road to Park City was closed unless you had 4 wheel drive or chains. Well, seeing as we are currently living in sunny southern California, we have neither. So, we decided to wait out the storm at my parents house. The kiddos enjoyed the weekend at Grandma and Grandpas. Monday morning we were able to continue on our journey. We made it to Park City without any hitches in the rest of the journey. The babies loved the condo there. It had carpet and stairs. Two of their favorite things. We don't have either at our house. They had so much fun playing on the stairs and in the kitchen. Nothing was childproofed so I put the breakables up and let the babies go wild.

It was a wonderful week filled with relaxation for Mike and I. We were able to see a lot of family and friends. We still didn't see all the family and friends that we wanted but we will be back next year! At the end of the week we had to leave the cold but wonderful Park City and we headed back to my parents for the Christmas celebrations.

The day we left on our trip, our friends the Millers and Cathye brought over Christmas gifts. Jake climbed in one of the gift bags.

Park City- the babies loved the mirror above the bed. It was the perfect sitting spot for them. Jaileigh and Michael

The stairs at PC. The babies loved to stand at the top and throw things down them, as you can see from the pile at the landing. Jakob and Michael

Aunt Julie brought my Grandma over to see the babies. She was in the hospital while we were there and was released just in time to come and see us. Sadly I didn't get a picture.

Our friend Lara with little Jaileigh. I haven't seen in almost 4 years. It was so good to see her and her family again.

The boys playing Grandmas piano

Anthony and Jakob climbed on the table all by themselves and helped themselves to all the snacks that were there. Little stinkers!

My brother, Andy, is 6ft4in. Jaileigh was a little scared.

Andy and Jaileigh napping.

Aunt Rori and Jaileigh in their Christmas clothes. Rori and Jaileigh have a special bond going on. I was just viewing the pictures on my camera and over half of them were of Jaileigh. Rori would dress her up and then take pictures.

Jaileigh hanging out in the pot with Grandpa

Anthony and Michael were the first two up Christmas morning. They actually started opening presents. They didn't want to wait for the other two.

Anthony and Michael playing on the stairs waiting for Jaileigh and Jakob to wake up so we could open presents. (I think Michael needed a diaper change, its popping out of his PJ's)

Michael still looking a little sleepy

Christmas morning- Rori putting on the cute shoes she gave Jaileigh. Jaileigh now says "shoes". She calls them "moooooos". She also says "Maaahhh" which is Mike (her daddy). I guess I need to start calling him daddy more.

Christmas afternoon we took 3 of the babies to the park. Jakob was napping. I flopped on the ground because I was tired from chasing and Michael copied me. It was so funny.

Taking a walk in the park

Jaileigh modeling her new bows and hat. She is quite the character.

The aftermath of Christmas. The boys were touching the tree . . . .

and then running away before Grandma saw them.

We had a wonderful Christmas! We are so thankful for our family. We are also thankful for this season where we can concentrate on Christ's birth and life. A long time ago someone told me to never write Christmas with an "X" because that is like taking Christ out of the season. I have always remembered that and everytime I see the word Christmas "CHRIST" pops out at me. I hope everyone had a wonderful CHRISTmas!
