Fires, Smoke. Tacos, Doctors

Fires and Winds everywhere!

 They shut some of the roads and freeways down because the visibility was so limited. 

There was a fire 6 miles away from our house. School was cancelled for our school district because of the smoke. 

Jake monster!

Jake had a dr appointment in San Diego and I was so happy I didn't have to take him out of school for the appointment. 

He passed his breathing tests and seems to be doing well. We are hoping to be able to wean him off some of his meds over time. He had to go on a round of prednisone (per his pediatrician) and his allergy/asthma doctor was not happy about that. He lectured me and told me not to do that again. 

Driving down we had to drive through the Lilac fire area. There was so much smoke and ash in the air. It was really sad . . . . and stinky.
