Campfire Biscuits

Friday night there was a campfire for the whole RV park. They were roasting refrigerator biscuits over the fire and then filling them with chocolate pudding, whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

I was interested in these stick things. The entertainment lady called them "Warlinger" or something. She said they made them with a closet rod dowel and a regular dowel. They cut the closet rod into 6 inch pieces, drilled a hole in one end and stuck a dowel in it for a handle.  I came home a did a little internet research and found out that there is quite a bit of information about these.

 

Some people call them Cowhorn Biscuits or Womp-em-sticks. The following are different ways you can fill them:

  •Ice Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Whipped Cream

•Apple pie filling, or any flavor that you like!

•Banana, Mini marshmallows, Chocolate chips

•Spray cooked biscuit with butter spray, Roll in sugar and cinnamon

•Roasted hot dog, with all your favorite condiments

•Scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage

•Roasted Marshmallows and Chocolate

•A breakfast burrito or a Pizza Pocket!
