Oh What Do You Do On MLK Day?

We went to get shots. Every Monday and Tuesday morning I load the kids in the Suburban between 7:45-8:00 to drive Michael to the doctor for his allergy shots. He gets 4 shots, 2 each in each arm. After he gets them we have to wait 20 minutes to make sure he doesn't have a reaction. Today Mike got to come with us because he didn't have work.

Michael telling me a story

Despite his coloring he really is Italian, look at him talking with his hands.

"Did you get all that mommy?"

Sweet Annie still in her jammers

Waiting for 20 minutes gets a little boring sometimes so the kids are making friends with the kids in the neighboring office. The was the cutest little girl on the other side of the door.

After shots we headed to The San Diego Zoo. It is about an hour drive for us. I was hoping the kids would nap on the way but they were too excited  to see the animals. The whole way they talked about the animals they wanted to see.

Stopping for lunch.
Annie played a trick on Daddy and squeezed the water bottle when he was opening it. They both got wet. Luckily I brought a change of clothes for Annie, I didn't think to bring one for Daddy.

Thank goodness I  carry around disinfecting wipes. They have to crawl and touch everything,

The LION. The kids were impressed.

They kept telling me that it was eating. It was too. It has a big bone in its paws.

WOW!

The LLAMAS. We couldn't get the kids to leave. They loved this. One of the llamas walked right up to the window and scared Anthony a little.

Watching the elephant eat.

Michael was getting tired. Actually they were all getting tired by this time.

The elephant. They showered or bathed him and the kids thought this was really neat.

Silly Jake

The kids had so much fun and were so good today. They love animals and were so excited to see real ones. I think we will be at the zoo a little more from now on.

Wild Animal Park

We took Emily and Sunny to the Wild Animal Park. It was so nice for us to have extra hands, especially with Annie.

San Diego Road Trip

At the zoo we only got a few pictures and sadly none of them were of us. This picture is a picture of "tree lady" If you look closely you can see her face. It was the coolest costume I have ever seen. Mike thinks I should apply for this job and bring the babies along as barnacles living on the tree.
Here is the other zoo picture- Peacocks were wandering around the zoo. They were beautiful. When Jaileigh was younger she sounded like a peacock when she would cry.

We stayed in Chula Vista, home of the Little League World Champs, at the local KOA. For breakfast they had an all you can eat pancake breakfast. The 6 of us went through quite a few pancakes!

Happy 11 Month Birthday! & Zoo Pictures!

Boy Time Flies! I can't believe the babies will be a year old in one month. A year ago this week I was put in the hospital. AAAHHHHH it brings back so many memories. WOW! A year. I am speechless. Enjoy the pics! Hopefully I will find words for their 1 year birthday.

Anthony and his flirtatious grin

Anthony and Miss Megha being cool

Look at those teeth!
Michael and his enormous blue eyes

Michael loving the pool too! I have little water babies. They cry when they have to get out.

Jaileigh ready to go

Jaileigh- I left the room for a minute and when I came back in Jaileigh was inside this box. No one knows how she got in it. So, we took a picture.

Jakey loving the pool

Jakob has his hair all dolled up= which girl are you trying to impress this time little dude?

I was also able to get my pictures off of our camcorder from the ZOO. We went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park last week with Rori and Grandma, who by the way decided to desert us and went home to Grandpa on Saturday. We are feeling quite lonely now and the babies are of course very spoiled. Mommy is having a hard time pretending to be 3 people when I am only one. Anyway, back to the zoo. The weather was HOT! The zoo had misters all over and we spent the majority of the time searching for misters to walk under. All in all, I think that fun was had by all. The babies love getting out and seeing new things. This was one of Rori's requests so she was happy and Grandma is just happy being with her babies.

Michael trying to get a drink. All the babies think they are big now and need to eat and drink big people food.

Mom and Jakey- relaxing and cooling off in the shade

Rori having a rare "moment" and Anthony lounging in her lap

Our resting spot- this blanket has been everywhere, motel rooms, parks, beaches, zoos, baseball games, etc. It is a lifesaver.
