Quads in Chairs/Stackers and Play Doh

I originally bought these chairs for Easter but Mike broke them out one day while babysitting. The kids love them. Annie loves them the most though. She loves that she can climb in and out all by herself. Daddy took this picture while he was babysitting. I escaped for a long overdue pedicure.

Annie and Anthony playing with the stacker pegs. They love these.

Lately, play doh has been a big hit at our house. Last week they wanted to play with it every day and sometimes twice a day.

Even Annie likes it. She usually tries to taste it so I have to watch her very carefully.

Jake and his innocent look

Annie loves corn!

Look how excited she is!

How Did You Get Up There?

How does this kid get so high?!

Playing "hosey" with mom. Look at them holding hands. Too cute.

BlackHawks

In case you didn't hear the news, the Chicago Blackhawks made it to the playoffs again, by the skin of the teeth. Mike is pretty excited and the kids seem to be too.

Michael, Jaileigh, Anthony, Anndalyn, Jakob

This one is the best! They are all looking and smiling.

We got this for the quads 1st birthday and they still love it.

The San Diego Zoo

The Zoo! We love the zoo! My kids want to go to the zoo everyday! They absolutely love it. The are getting so good at walking it too. We can almost leave our strollers home and take a single stroller for Annie. Almost!

I dressed the kids in summer clothes because it was warm at our house and by the time we got to the zoo it was freezing. Good thing I packed warm clothes! We added their layers on in the car and then headed in.

Giraffes.

This giraffe was a week old.

The rhinos! They were sleeping according to the kids.
Michael

Looking at the zebra and the donkey. For some reason they were together.

The flamingos.

Jake and the flamingos.

Anthony and Michael watching the wild hog.

Jake eating a snack while checking out the wild hog. I was nervous he was going to share his cracker.

The wild hog. Bad picture but you can kind of see how gross and hairy he was.

Jake climbed up for a better view. I only let him do this because other parents were letting their children.

"Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, eating all the gum drops he can see. . . ."
My kids love this song so they were really excited to see a real Kookaburra.

Anthony reading up about the kookaburra.

Jake having a quiet moment

Annie wanted to walk really, really bad.

Jaileigh and Daddy looking at the camels

ahhhh, so sweet

Turtle time. There was a turtle the size of a fifty cent piece and then the mommy turtle close by.
Jake, Michael, and Anthony

Jaileigh was too tired to walk anymore.

The elephant.  This area has a "thunderstorm" that we got caught in. Mike and I thought it was real because the day was so cool. We figured out it wasn't when only a small area was getting wet.

I hate snakes but my kids seem to like them. Here is a rattler that we saw on our way out.

SeNsOrY TiMe

There is the neatest place, in our neighboring city, called Sensory Time.   Here is the description from their website.

"SensoryTime is a Multi-sensory, therapeutically designed Child Development Center for special needs children and all children.  Playing in this type of environment can assist children to better develop their sensory processing skills, fine and gross motor skills, as well as their emotional and social skills."

This center was so much fun! We hope to visit often.

They had this cool climbing mountain that, of course, my kids LOVED!

Even Annie loved it.

Our friends the Fiore's came with us.
Audrina and Jake

This room was really neat. It was dark and the walls were painted blue. One of the walls was mirrored and the water and fish tubes along with a spotlight made a really neat atmosphere. It was very relaxing.

There was a light table in the room too.
Jake and his crazy hair that needs cut

The room also had this train table.
Michael and Annie

This lawnmower caused many fights. Brutal fist, biting, scratching fights.
Michael happy he has control of it for a minute.

I loved this "toy". It was a huge innertube with bars to hang on to so you could jump really high.
Anthony, Jaileigh, Audrina, Michael

You can see how high Michael and Anthony are jumping. The kids had so much fun on this. Annie wanted to join in too.

Jaileigh rolling in a barrel

Annie loved the lawnmower just as much as the quads. She ran all over the place with it.

There were two trampolines.

Somehow Jaileigh got talked into pushing Anthony.

Jaileigh trying to figure out this crazy car. I think she was too little to fit in the seat correctly.

Annie with a rainstick.

Annie had so much fun. She cruised all over. I had a hard time keeping up with her.

Towards the end of our visit they turned on the bubble machine.

Bubbles, bubbles. bubbles
Michael

Jake and the bubbles. I didn't get too many pictures of Jake. I think it was because he was running all over the place. He couldn't sit still, he was sooooo excited.

Jaileigh and the bubbles.

Michael, Jake, and Jaileigh

Jake and Jaileigh

Annie climbing up the slide. She was setting a bad example for all the younger kids. There was another little boy that kept trying to do it too. His mom wouldn't let him. I apologized and told her that Annie had older siblings that taught her naughty things. She didn't even think it was funny.

Anthony and Jake on another cool toy.

Anthony taking a rest. He played on this car for quite awhile. He was kneeling on his knees because he was too tall for it.

Jaileigh following Annie up the slide. Annie does actually get all the way to the top by herself. This girl is amazing.

Big cheesy grin.

Annie and Jaileigh

Sweet, sweet sisters!

I hope we will be back many times to this fabulous place.
