We went camping over the weekend so that the boys could pass off their merit badges for scouts. They had to plan the trip, pack, cook, and have fun! We had baseball on Friday and Saturday but because we were local it worked out.

If you look closely there are two things stuck together. One is a praying mantis. I don't know if the 2nd insect is another one in another stage of metamorphosis or if it was a different insect. It was very interesting.

Happy Birthday Grandma Mitzi

Grandma is celebrating her birthday today! We have decided that grandma has a terminal disease of never aging. Every year she gets younger instead of older! I think her youth is eternal! We love you mom and grandma! You are the most amazing of both.

Mike and I are so grateful for your example and the love that you share with us. Our kids think the sun rises and sets on you! Love you!!

Neighbor's Party!

Our sweet neighbor boy had a birthday party that we were invited to. His mom had a baby a week before his birthday and still held a party for him. She said that her husband was in charge. In the words of Jaileigh "that was the best party! I had so much fun doing rockets and shooting. I didn't even know!"

The kids each got to make their own rocket. Then they got to shoot them from the rocket launcher that Dan had engineered. We went to the field behind our houses.
