Little Gymnasts

We were lucky enough to be invited to a private gymnastics class last week. I was so excited to take the kiddos because they are such monkeys. I knew they would enjoy something like this. Caroline, our wonderful friend, came with us. Thank goodness! Each baby ended up needing a helper. I couldn't have done it alone. My camera was on a wierd setting and I didn't figure it out until days later so a lot of these pictures are really poor quality.

Michael giving Anthony the eyeball, I think he's really encouraging him along.

Anthony and Jaileigh. Jaileigh was not a happy camper. She was teething a molar and did not feel good. This look pretty much sums up her day.

I think Caroline had fun too! Here she is helping Anthony on the trampoline.

Jakob is my shy boy. This is how he spent the first 5-10 minutes-SAD and SHY. Ms Sharon is helping him.

Then he changed his mind when he got to the trampoline. He got the biggest grin on his face and took off running just as fast as his little legs could carry him, leaving Ms Sharon in the dust. She had to run after him he was so fast. After this he had a blast.

Caroline helping Anthony roll down and I think Michaels helper helped him to flip down. Michael loved his helper. When it was time to go he wouldn't let go of her hand. He grabbed my hand and held on to hers too.

The last activity they got to do was the foam pit. It was a huge pit with a trampoline on the bottom and foam squares filling it. The babies thought this was so fun. They even jumped off the side into it like it was a swimming pool. Here are the boys- Michael (you can only see his head), Anthony, and Jakob

Jakob- bad picture but you can see how happy he is

Jaileigh even enjoyed the pit

Michael- on the left. He jumped in to the guy in the red shirt

RSV Letter

Dear Family and Friends:
We’re writing regarding a very important matter: RSV. We want to start by saying thank you for the outpouring of support we have received from everyone. So many people have done so much for us, and every bit of help we have received truly is appreciated. We are experiencing the biggest challenge of our lives, and we’re lucky to be surrounded by so many family members and friends who have shown us so much love and support.
Most people have not heard of RSV. Babies born earlier than 36 weeks are at the highest risk for serious complications like pneumonia, bronchiolitis, and other sometimes fatal complications. Our babies were born premature, are multiples, and had low birth weights; these are among the highest risk factors for contracting RSV and developing serious complications.
Preventing the spread of RSV is very difficult. Thus, we must be vigilant about keeping our babies safe during RSV season (October through April). The virus is spread through physical contact, in the air via a cough or sneeze, or by touching an infected object. The virus can live as long as six hours on hands and up to twelve hours on objects.

We ask that all visitors do the following:
1. When you arrive, please wash your hands, use hand-sanitizer as needed before touching the babies and put on a hospital robe.
2. Please, if it is possible, get a flu shot.
3. Please refrain from coming over if you are currently sick and have not been symptom-free for at least 5 days, if you live with someone who is sick, or have been in close contact with someone who is sick.
4. If you smoke, we ask that you change your clothes and shower and refrain from smoking prior to visiting, as a preemie’s lungs are very sensitive to smoke. Most RSV sites recommend against passive smoke exposure.
5. If you are parents to babies, toddlers or school-aged children, refrain from bringing them to our house during RSV season. age 20 and older can visit us.
Unfortunately we will not be attending many events during RSV season. Our goal is to make it through this and the next RSV seasons without the babies contracting RSV or any other serious illness. Their lungs are still very fragile until they are 2-years-old.

Please understand that this letter is not meant to offend anyone, just simply to provide an explanation. We hope you understand, and we appreciate your help keeping our babies safe.
Love and best wishes to all!

Indoor Pool

As parents, we do some crazy and desperate things to entertain our children. Sunday afternoon was a long one! It was too windy to go outside and the kids were tired of their toys so we brought the outside to the inside. We brought the swimming pool in the house and let them splash away. They had so much fun and it killed an hour of boredom.

Quad Playdate Pictures

We had a play date at the park with two sets of our quad friends on Saturday and on Sunday a set of our quad friends and our triplet friends came over for dinner. Here is a picture overload of Saturday. Sunday Mike was in charge of pictures and we got a total of THREE! So. . . . we will have to redo Sunday again someday.

Michael always ready for a picture.

Jaileigh with her little teeny tiny itsy bitsy pony tail. Mike was a little embarrassed that I put pants on under her dress but it was a little chilly out. I think its cute.

Peyton leading the boys back to the quad camp. Peyton is a big brother to our quad friends from right here in California. Jakob loves him and follows him around like a little puppy.
Fellow quad mom Stephanie and her beautiful babies. She has the exact opposite of us- 3 girls and a boy plus Peyton. Jaileigh loved the babies. She sat next to them for a long time and made sure they all had pacifiers or toys. She is usually such a stinker!

Eli and Mike sharing quad stories
Michael, Max(?), and Jakob running awwwaaaayyyyyy. . . .

Anthony taking a break
Can you find all the quaddies? There are 9 in this picture.
Anthony, Jakob, and Sky (?). I am hoping that Anthony was sharing and not stealing.
Stephanies beautiful 4 month old quaddies. They were the youngest of the 3 sets.
Peyton and Jaileigh
Aurelia is telling Stephanie a story.  Dafna and Eli have 15 month quads, 3 boys and 1 princess just like us. They were visiting from Nevada. We were so glad they stopped to visit us. It was so fun to meet another quad family.
Peyton is surrounded by my little ones who think he is the neatest!
Getting ready for a group shot. Eli and his 4, Amber and my 4, Stephanie with her 5. You can see that Jaileigh is showing her true colors. Yes, Anthony has a sprite bottle. No, I don't let them drink soda. Bottles make the best toys! They can entertain for hours.

What a perfect picture! Dafna and her four, Mike and I and our four, and Stephanie and her five
Attempting a shot with the momma's

When Dafna and Eli were ready to go they were loading their stroller and 2 of mine decided to climb aboard. Michael and Jakob must like their stroller better than ours OR they like whats inside the stroller. Hmmmm.

Here are the three pictures from our Quad-Quad-Triplet date.
