Cubs@Orioles

Another hot Saturday game. Fall never gets here in time for fall ball. Summer extends until it's winter.

Cubs picked up another win this weekend against the Orioles. It was the Orioles first loss and was a little bitter for them.

No great pictures. they were all taken by my minions. I was too stressed about getting the scorebook done correctly and the walk up songs on. thank goodness for my little helpers that pick up my slack. Jaileigh and Annie are the best!

Ant on first then quickly steals second, then third and finally gets home.

Mike uses his body and hands to communicate. He doesn't even realize it, its just natural, probably the Italian in him. Whenever he does though, this song from Little Mermaid always runs through my head . . . . .lol

He made it home.

The dugout was so intense

Poor Jake fell over the runner, got screamed at, Anthony was down in the dumps. It was a terrible, no good, very bad last inning. It's one of those that you never want to remember but you do.

Me trying to keep up on the books while fielding questions from the ump, the angry coach and the girls.

Anthony's look of defeat breaks my heart. He had a hard inning pitching.

Nationals AT Cubs

We had a Thursday night game. Start time was 7:00. It was so late for these little kids. They had a hard time in the beginning but pulled it together and ended the game with a "W". Because it was so late I couldn't take pictures. The umpire and coaches weren't happy with my flash going off.

I got this of the dugout.

and this of Michael

We use this cool program called game changer. It's the new computerized way to keep the scorebook. At the end of the game it always writes up a recap. It's only as accurate as your scorekeeper but it's always enjoyable to read. This one didn't mention the boys, sadly, but you may see how exciting and close the game was.

National Walk To School Day

National Walk To School Day was October 4th across the nation. We met at the park near our school with about 200 other kids and all walked together. The Bomb Squad and Highway patrol met the kids on the corner of the school and passed out special golden tickets for a drawing later that day. Also, Thunder from our local Minor league baseball team, the Lake Elsinore Storm, showed up!

My kids somehow ended up helping carry the sign.
