Some days mom and dad both have to work and great friends agree to take over the chaos. We are so grateful for our friends! One day, I was already committed to a teacher that had specifically requested that I sub and then Mike's boss called and said they were working together. Last minute our friends Karen and Kevin stepped in and agreed to take all 5 of our kids. Of course they all had a blast! When I went to pick them up Annie, Anthony, and Jakob told me they were going to live with their friends now. I was very happy when they decided to come home with me. Anthony was worried he would have to eat cheese at his new house. He does not like cheese!
Annie gets to go over quite a bit. It makes the other kids quite jealous!
Annie has been asking for an art set, like Jaileigh's since Christmas. I told her she could buy one with her own money. I finally took her to get one and she decided to get a pottery wheel set instead. It made such a mess! All over my kitchen. I'm still finding drips of clay on the floor and cupboards. You can tell from her smiles she was happy!
She made Grandma a little bowl. She painted it white and put red hearts on it. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the final product! Next time I will!
The Daddy Daughter Dance was February 26. I took the boys, including friend Jordan, for the night and Mike took the girls off to the dance. The boys played outside for awhile, played legos, ran around, got yelled at and finally decided they wanted to go rent a movie. We ran to Albertsons, stocked up on junk food and grabbed a movie. It was a pretty fun night with these gentlemen. I enjoyed listening to their "man talk".
Pictures from the girls Sock Hop. Jaileigh went as Sandy from Grease and Annie, last minute, decided she was not going as Frenchy. She wore her church dress. It turned out perfect thought, she matched all the decor. A huge thank you to Montse for taking pictures and sending them to me.
Zoom in and you can see Mike and Jaileigh dancing.

You can see Mike and Jaileigh behind this guy in the front.
Jaileigh right in the middle during her Sandy walk.
This were the pictures from the photographer at the dance. Sorry for the poor quality. I took a picture with my phone of a not great picture and it turned out really not great.
The first graders did a "It's A Small World" theme at school this year. Part of that was learning your place in the world, in your country, your city, your house, your room, etc. They got to make a 3D diorama of their rooms. I let them each make their own and let them choose how they wanted their room to be, if they had their own rooms.
This is Michaels room.
Jaileigh's room. This is actually pretty close to what it is.
Another random one of Jaileigh's
The kids had fun doing this project, I'm not sure if mom did or not.
