More Adventures

More pictures from our St. George adventure.

We went out to lunch on our last day there.

We left on New Year's Eve in the morning. There was a big snow storm warning out but we seemed to have missed it. We hit a few flurries here and there but nothing too bad. When we got to Victorville there was snow on the ground. The kids were so excited!
It snowed in Menifee.  Our neighbors said it didn't stick on our side of Menifee.  The kids were so sad they missed it. I predict a trip to the mountains soon! Maybe after school one day we can drive to Idyllwild.

Vacation At Our Grandparents

On Saturday (27th) after Christmas we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We had so much fun on our vacation. The kids and Mike climbed the mountain several times, they collected rocks and odd pieces of junk, I laughed and talked and giggled with my sister and mom. Mike and I went on several dates. We shopped without kids, went to dinner and a movie, went to the gym together. It was amazing! I’m sure we wore my family out with all the babysitting they did! Rori and my mom took the kids to a movie. Grandma spoiled them and bought them each popcorn and a Slurpee for the movie. They were so excited to tell me! They loved it! Thank you mom, dad and Rori for making our stay so much fun!

Jaileigh and Michael crashed.
At church Annie sat by herself and was grouchy.
Anthony was having a meltdown and didn't want his picture taken at church.
A Boy and his Dog. This kid loves Taylor!

We went out to dinner.
Grandma taught the kids how to play checkers.

Mountain climbing.

Can you find the kids on the hill?

Daddy took the kids mountain climbing almost every day. It was so nice because I was able to hang out with my mom and sister without constant interruptions. It was such a fun and relaxing vacation! Thanks for having us grandma and grandpa and Rori!

Anthony and Anthony

One of my former students was in town for Christmas. We met him at the outlet mall. He hasn't seen the kids since their 1st birthday party.  I can't believe he is a responsible college graduate now! I felt so old! His name is Anthony just like my Anthony. I let him think that we named Anthony after him because he was one of my favorite students.

Giving high fives!
Group picture!
Anthony lost his tooth while we were here. I had to put it in my wallet so we didn't lose it. It was so tiny!

Our Christmas

The kids woke up at 4:30 am Christmas morning and snuck downstairs to see if Santa had eaten his cookies. They saw he had eaten the cookies and left a letter. They ran upstairs to show Mike and I the letter, didn't even look at their presents that were under the tree. Mike read the letter to them and then told them to go back to sleep. They all did and didn't wake up until 6:45! We were so late! Mike was supposed to set out a present at the neighbors that had been hiding in our garage, at 6:30 and the missionaries were waiting in our drive way. I promised them the kids would be up by 5:30 or 6. Funny to have a late start to your Christmas morning! It all worked out though.

Jaileigh was so excited for her new jacket from Grandma and Pops!
The missionaries came over Christmas morning to open presents with us. It was so fun!

It was so much fun! The missionaries stayed for breakfast and lunch. We had French Toast Casserole for breakfast and left overs for lunch.  For dinner we had some friends come over. We had noodles and gravy and salad. It was a great day spent with friends and our little family. We were so grateful to have the spirit that comes with the missionaries in our home too.
