The Little Baker

Annie decided she wanted brownies so she made them all by herself. She got the eggs out, the mixer, the bowl, cracked the egg, dumped the brownie mix and started mixing. I added the water for her and turned the oven on.  She is so smart and determined!

Paper Dolls

One of the kids first homework assignments. They (mom) had to make a paperdoll that represented them. The teacher wanted it to be done nicely using crafty things with it.

Jake is a surfer dude!

Michael is a zookeeper.

Jaileigh is a princess of course. I did go to Walmart about 10pm and bought brown yarn to make long hair for her. I forgot to take a picture of it with the hair on.

Anthony is a dirt biker.

Dressing Up

The kids have been dressing up with the neighbors. We have a bunch of dress ups and they have a ton of dress ups so they just rotate whose house is the dress up house.  Susie made this adorable Elsa outfit for my girls and one for her daughter Hannah.

Parties, Parties, Parties!

The 23rd of August we had 3 different parties to go to and we had to clean the church in the morning. It was a busy day! We only made it to 2 of the parties and the church cleaning.

Our little friend Alexa celebrated her 2nd birthday with a pool party. It was so fun! There was swimming, snow cones, cake, delicious food, squirt gun fighting, and cotton candy as well as goody bags as we left.

First Day Of School!

The kids first day of school was on August 18th this year. They were so excited for school and have been counting down the days. They will be in Kindergarten this year.  Last year they completed the Transitional Kindergarten offered by our state.

Our neighbors came for pictures too.

Jakob- He actually cried and I ended up staying with him for an hour. I finally went and got his old teacher and had her walk him to class while I snuck out through her room. She said he was fine and didn't even cry. When I picked him up at the end of the day he was so excited to tell me all about his new buddies.

{Phone Catch Up}

A few of the pictures from my phone.

I saw this on the road the other day. I'd say they are die hard fans!

Michael LOVES to take selfies.

Meet the teacher . . . .  in the park.

We got to meet their teacher the Thursday before school started. We met our friend Adalia there. We all have the same teacher again. Hooray!

I love that these 5 are best friends! When they are at school the fab 4-some are 4 individuals that don't even acknowledge that they have siblings in the class. At times I wish that they would watch out for each other a little better especially the boys for their sister. When they are at home it is a different story. They play and fight and love each other constantly.

My boys! Each one is so unique!

Thank you Grandma!

The kids got invited to a birthday party for one of their friends. I chose to take the girls to the party and Mike took the boys on a "manly" outing.

Project "Move Kids To Their Own Beds"
When Annie was born we started slacking big time about letting the kids in our bed. We were both too tired to get up and put them back in their own beds. Now that they are 4 and 6 Mike and I decided we want our bed back; at least for a portion of the night.

Jaileigh is having a hard time. It's more of a control issue for her than a security one though.  The rest of them are doing great. We started a sticker chart for motivation for Jaileigh but the other kids love it too.

This is what happens when we don't plan naps! Dinner time and Annie is sleeping on the couch!

La Jolla Hike and Bye Bye Rori

Roris's last day in California we went hiking and to the beach. I can' even remember the name of the hike now. We met our friends and spent part of the day with them.

I love the little interactions going on.
