Riding The Quads

We let the kids ride the quads on Saturday, all day long! We have two neighbors that are cops, that live in the same house, that were giving us the eye so we decided to go over to the dirt roads. They kids had even more fun on the dirt. Jaileigh spun a couple of 360's on accident and thought it was hilarious. I only got a few pictures because I was too busy chaperoning. We have a couple of really good drivers, a really fast driver, and a really scary driver!

Have you ever seen a 3 year old drive a quad? She's pretty good. I guess that's what happens when you start them riding at 2. I need to video it so we remember.

Morning Bike Ride And Run

When we go on our bike rides, we ride through the farm land on the dirt roads. The kids love looking at all the animals and I feel a little safer we aren't on the busy roads. Today they met a horse that they decided was a girl and it tried to bite them. They also found about 15 golf balls. Someone must have been hitting them out there. Whoever it was sure made my kids day!

Annie usually rides in the stroller. She rode her bike one time and did a great job but it was soooo slow trying to get her to keep up.

The kids rotate who gets to sit in the second seat of the stroller. It was Michael's turn. He is holding Annie's baby. Anthony usually never takes a turn and Jaileigh usually takes the longest turns.

For Uncle Joe

We found out that Uncle Joe had heart surgery last week. The kids were very upset that he had surgery and decided they needed to write him cards and draw pictures.

So Joe, the pictures should be coming in the mail but for now here is a sneak peak. Next time call us before surgery so we can keep you in our prayers! Love you Uncle Joe!

Hurry, hurry, I have to go poop and it's coming out in my underwear!
What the heck?
What? That's weird!
That's crazy!
What are you doing, kid?
Hey, dude!
Whoopsie.
What the crapola!
I think...
What the what?!
That's cool.
Calls her daddy a "handsome boy" while rubbing his head.
Where's my mo-mo? (her mole she rubs, while she goes to sleep, on my stomach)
Mom, someones going to see my bum-crack.

Do I have crazy hair? or Do I have bed head?
Dude, dude, come on dude!

The Kindergarten Buzz

The kids new kindergarten teacher, Mrs Sanchez, sent home a questionnaire for the parents to fill out on their child(ren). I had Mike help me with this. It was really fun to do once we caught on and got into the swing of it.  I love how unique each of our children are. I also love that their teacher recognizes that and appreciates it. She says that they are always independent of each other and if they do play together, it is because there is a common interest in the activity they are doing, not because they are trying to be near their sibling. I LOVE that they are so secure with themselves.

Pop Warner Kickoff Fun

My friend invited our family to come to the local Pop Warner kickoff. There were about 10 different jumpers set up for the kids and close to 75 vendors. It was so organized. She had volunteer youth running each jumper so that people had to wait in lines. I was very impressed that the teenagers volunteering were so responsible and polite! My kids had a blast!

This jumper was so funny. She was tied up to someone on the other side and they had to pull against each other to try to make a basket in the hoop. The cute kid working helped pull her each time.

We shut the place down. At the end we fed the kids a second dinner of street tacos. I bought the kids 1 each and they ended up eating 3 each. Mike and I had to go back 3 times to buy more.

We Had A Date

Our neighbor, Susie, volunteered to babysit our kids so that Mike and I could go on a date. I can't believe that we actually went! It was so much fun. We went to dinner at a delicious Sushi restaurant. We were able to talk adult talk without little munchkins interrupting and tattling. What a blessing our friends are!

So here is what Susie had to deal with- 4-5 year olds with no nap (my kids still nap!), 1 almost 4 year old with no nap, a 3 year old with a nap, a 2 year old with a nap and a 4 month old with a semi-nap. She cooked dinner and entertained them for over 2 hours. When her husband, Dan, came home he helped too. They are amazing! Thank you!!!

First Day Of School Pictures

Finally! I have been trying to play catch up and I have finally caught up, well sort of. Now I'm only two weeks behind instead of two months.

The kids have been so excited to start school. I told them when they turned 5 they would start transitional kindergarten so on July 29th they were ready! They asked everyday when school was going to start because they were 5!

We were lucky enough to get in to our schools Transitional Kindergarten program. It is a 2 year kindergarten program for the kids that are too young for regular kindergarten but turn 5 by the end of the calendar year (December).

Hannah (neighbor friend) wanted to be in the pictures too!

At the school. This is the same school we went to speech for the boys at last year. They were already familiar with it and were so excited to be back and to actually be students there!

Jaileigh, Anthony, Michael, Jakob and Annie

The parents got to go in with them the first couple of days.

Jakob picked a chicken name tag.

Anthony picked a horse.

Michael picked the elephant.

Jaileigh picked a duck.

The teacher had stations set up at each table for the kids to play with while she talked to the parents.

This is a great picture! You can see their teacher talking (Mrs Sanchez), Anthony's girlfriend (Adalia) is on the back table with her mom, and Anthony is holding up his creation and saying "Mom look I made a GUN!" Yep, first day of school we made our mark!

Mrs. Sanchez talked for about 20 minutes and then excused us. My kids waved and said "Bye". No tears, they were so excited!
