Michaels Tummy

My sweet little Michael is having tummy problems. For the last 2 1/2 weeks he has had a tummy ache without symptoms other than he cries all the time. He is up all night saying his tummy hurts and all day he just lays on the couch very lethargic like and still has a tummy ache. He refuses to eat but still drinks. No fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea, no constipation, no tenderness, it's a puzzle.  We have been to urgent care twice and our pediatrician once. We have run labs, turned in urine samples, stool samples and had an x-ray. This Wednesday he is going in for an ultrasound and Friday we have an appointment with a G.I. specialist. Dr. Berry his same G.I. doctor from when he had reflux as a baby. The pediatrician is very concerned because he wakes up at night crying. He said that someone that age just doesn't wake up crying without a very good reason. I agree! If you could keep him in your prayers we would appreciate it!

Last Thursday was crazy! Michael had a doctor appointment at 8:30. Mike was going to help that morning but the night before got called to jury duty so I ended up taking all the kids. The doctor sent me directly to the lab and to x-ray. The lab I was able to make an appointment for 10:50 that morning which meant we didn't have to wait for a walk in appointment. I had to take all of them in to the lab. The lady drawing his blood proceded to lecture me about not bringing help with me. ARGH! Another lab tech came in and helped with the kids. Thank goodness Mike was released from jury duty in the afternoon so I could take Michael in for his X-ray alone.

Michael and I waiting for him to get his X-ray.

I've been a long time reader on your blog and just lOVE your family! So cute! Have you ever heard about child abdominal migraines? They wake up kids at night, don't vomit, no constipation, just severe tummy pain. Usually OTC's work to help the pain. Just a thought for sweet Michael!
