Campground On The Bay

Sounds nice right? It was!

This weekend we went to San Diego. We are usually pretty good to travel once or twice a month, but we haven't been anywhere since New Years weekend. The kids were so excited to get out of the house! We stayed at the Campground on the Bay. It was the best campground we have every been to. We were about 25 feet from the ocean and beach. It had kids playgrounds, a skating park, basketball area, adult park, pools, restaurant, ice cream parlor and ducks wandering around.

Jaileigh and Anthony hanging out on the bench
Jaileigh got over her sand adversion (kind of) and Jakey only loves it more.

Michael trying to get the sand out of his shoes.

Jakey playing in the sand and being shy.

Anthony and his bench again.

My little ducklings chasing the big ducks

Besides the fun that we had at the campgound and the beach we also went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. We were a little disappointed this time because we couldn't find the animals. I was a little disoriented this visit. We trade off going to the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park and I think that I thought we were at the Zoo. We did see Gorillas (real and statue ones), various birds, meerkats, but nothing big like LIONS and giraffes. I guess that means we will have to go again soon. Never the less, the kids had a blast!

The gorilla family- Anthony, Jaileigh, Jakob, Michael, and mommy

Anthony loved the mamma gorilla. He is investigating the lips.

Jaileigh found the eyes.
Jakob found the mouth

Jakob checking things out. I think they were communicating. He is my main climber so he is probably half gorilla.
Jaileigh decided to feed the gorillas the wood chips

Michael was afraid of the gorilla. It took him a long time to warm up to it. He is being shy right here. I was trying to coax him over.
He finally touched it.

There was a fisher price kids playground. Anthony and Jaileigh riding the elephant
